Melanie Klein Trust Conference 2016 (1): Where shall the word be found, where will the word resound? by Francesca Hume

A paper presented at the Melanie Klein Trust conference in 2016, The Effect of Omnipotence on the Analyst: Resonance, Dissonance or Silence. Francesca Hume describes an analysis in which there was a striking absence of feeling about the patient. She seemed unable to create a resonance within the analyst and this gave rise to considerations about why this should be the case. A discussion of this paper by Jane Milton, and a further conference paper presented by Ignês Sodré and discussion paper by Richard Rusbridger, are also available to download.
